What’s the name all about?

Isness is a term I stumbled across which I think is pretty cool,

“the state of what something is” – which is what?

When it is really all perspective? We are growing & changing everyday.

Life is seen through our own lens. Our own experiences impacts on how we see what we see.

A few years ago I experienced burn out while working as a Counsellor.

I was doing too much at once, helping others ahead of helping myself & had wondered into spiritual healing before understanding the full power of it.

I’ve had to learn more about this from my counsellor & teacher of Tantra, who has taught me about our personality & soul. Understanding more of what balance looks like for me.. (Which may be different for you, these are just insights). And becoming aware of the affects of spiritually stimulating our growth before we are ready mentally for the changes it brings. She refers to this as forcing a rose to open before it’s fully bloomed.

I had the opportunity to be someone helping others; studying Psychology & being a counsellor, but also being on the other side receiving help, as a mental health client who experienced psychosis, and what can happen when the brain is overloaded & moving too fast. So I’m hoping this can help the helpers too, and see they need to looking after too!

I’ve tried to rationalise my experience & look at it just through a psych perspective.. but none of it made sense without understanding more of my soul. The meaning of the soul – for me it is the essence of who we are, our sense of self.

Spending time in nature has helped me a lot in remembering my own nature. A lot of this writing has metaphors of the trees, ocean, sunlight – related to growth, change, rhythm, movement..

This is what I feel we can all relate to the most.

The Iz is put in there to personalise this, as your experience of what is can be completely different. All with our own interpretations, learnings, emotions, memories, values, patterns.. all with our own frame through which we see the world.

I’m making this to expand the frames 🖼 To see beyond the squares of what we think we should be doing, how life should look. To ask yourselves imagine if you expanded your box just a little bit, if you stepped back from your view of the world so you could widen the landscape of what you saw…

We can zoom in on a focus, get hooked on a memory, cut off part of the picture so we can just see what we want to see, or what we don’t want to see.

Our focus is our choice.

We can see something in black & white or shades of grey

…or, brighten it up with some colour! 🍭

When our uncomfortable emotions take the focus, we often get so familiar with a feeling of struggling, of life feeling it’s unfair or working against you, and it can morph into your belief system of how you see the world.

But, it can go the other way too.

We can step back, let go & refocus ~

Picture yourselves like a camera lens..  📸

I hope this can help even just one person see that life is not a box. It can be a painting of swirls, strokes, colours, designs.. and you can paint outside of the lines of how you think it should look.

Let it be a dance with the paint of your soul that colours life in which you see 🦚

Enjoy being the artist,

Your ability to interpret your experiences..

The choice to pull tighter on the struggle or to loosen your grip & allow things to grow & change form, to blossom into something new..  🌷

It’s not so much about being positive all the time, but stepping back from trying to understand or control what may be life changing form.

You don’t need to understand everything. You just need to know you know yourself..

When we trust in ourselves, we develop more trust in life,
So lend yourself a hand.

Sometimes that is putting your hand up & asking for help!
We have to help ourselves before we can be of help to anyone else. 🤝

So this page is where I’ll share more of my weavings… little insights & learnings.

I’ve become particularly interested in habit change & have a business called Mind Body Reset – working with the mind, body & our awareness to recognise patterns that may be keeping us feeling ‘stuck’ & shifting energy towards more of what we want to experience.

My biggest passions are creative expression, mindfulness & the simple joys in life… There is no rush, we can “stop & smell the roses” 🌹 Don’t move so fast that you forget the value of where or who you are & this moment you have right now.

So here it iz…
