“Do you see what I see?”

Nothing has to be taken personally. We all have our own stuff going on. We all have had experiences that are seen through different perspectives.

We all react to life with what we have taken from these experiences.

That is something we do have control over. What we choose to take from an experience. What parts we give the most value to. What makes its way into our belief system – into our world view.

🌎

But again, we don’t choose what someone interprets, what someone else values, what someone considers important or not. So how can we really take anything personally when everyone is living their own life in their own way, through their own experience.. ?

Something we can do is influence & encourage ourselves or others to see through the eyes of understanding. Understanding that we are all different.

That we have no idea what is going on in someone’s lives really – as it is their own worldview.

And we can’t try & understand others until we take a look at ourselves & notice our own blind spots.

Our own point of view is continually influenced & changing with what happens in our lives. And there are times where our emotions get the better of us & we don’t see so clearly..

But when we start to notice that we have our own biases, prejudices, irritations, worries, judgments, fears.. well we are becoming less & less ignorant. We are recognising that there are good days & bad days, we make mistakes, or we can get caught in patterns & habits that may not really be helping us or those around us.

But when we start to see them. We’re given an opportunity to respond in a different way. An opportunity to make even the slightest change in our lives, by how we react to the world around us or to ourselves.

And then we see, maybe this is actually how we help others too?

Change your reaction,
Change the interaction
Change the connection
